The lads are back in Alberta! Three shows in choice venues in that snowiest of provinces.
Canadian songsmith Stephen Fearing and Belfast troubadour Andy White met one hot dusty evening at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 1998. With 21 solo albums and Canada and Ireland’s top songwriting awards between them, the two quickly became friends and a musical force to be reckoned with. After yearly co-writing sessions (including ‘If I Catch You Crying’ and ‘October Lies’ for Blackie And The Rodeo Kings), the tall duo found they had enough songs to record and release their eponymous debut album Fearing & Whitein 2011, followed by 2014’s Tea and Confidences. White’s moody, electric Brit-punk sensibility brings out the rebellious in Fearing as they craft storytelling songs about love, disappointment and second chances, wrapped in beautiful harmonies and hot picking.
